Released first in 1981, BSDR is a reasonable record. In places it sounds a bit lumpy, some of the songs being half-formed ideas and needing stronger arrangements. But Hitchcock's vision remains intact: "The Man With The Lightbulb Head" and "Brenda's Iron Sledge" are present, postcards from a world where some bright sixth-former ate all the acid. This is what to do concerning this record; give a friend lots of drugs and take him to a record shop. He will buy it. Then you tape it. That is what to do concerning this record.
