Free Market Miracle #0004
Halliburton Co. and other U.S. contractors are being paid at least $1.9 billion from Iraqi funds under an arrangement set by the U.S.-led occupation authority, according to a review of documents and interviews with government agencies, companies and auditors.
Not content with funneling billions of U.S. taxpayers' dollars to Halliburton (from whom Dick Cheney still draws "compensation", don't forget), the Bush Administration is also funneling Iraqis' money to Halliburton.
Remember, kids: the open market is for chumps. If you wanna ensure your company's profitability, just run your CEO for Vice President of the US of A.
Note: This Free Market Miracle brought to you by the party of Small Government, the GOP.

Cheney never had to become V.P. to get Halliburton more government business. He was already tight with Bush 41 AND Bush 43 when he ran Halliburton, and he could have initiated favors in that position and at the same time keep drawing a MUCH larger salary, as well as accumulate those stock options, both of which he had to give up to be V.P. Critisms need to make sense to be effective. -- Posted by: RLAmes on August 10, 2004 06:54 PM
I believe our good Mr. Ames is beginning to realize how completely full of shit Eddie Tews is. If you put up a reply to one of his inane posts, he'll never reply. Trying to talk sense into Eddie is like beating your head against a brick wall: you're gonna get NOWHERE. He's discovered a comfortable little niche for himself in this world, and that is complaining about the United States. Since he is a complete failure wrt making money, women, and anything else he attempts in life, he's discovered that if he sits around and complains all the time he can find acceptance with all the other losers in the country. Better to be friends with losers than have no friends at all, I guess. The thing everyone who reads his website (all 2 of them) needs to understand is that Eddie has painted himself into such a corner with all of his anti-government rhetoric that BY DEFINITION he can only HOPE that our country fails at all of its endeavors just so he can say, "I told you so." Because otherwise he will have made an absolute ass of himself by being so LOUD and so WRONG. Ask yourself, "Does Eddie seem like the kind of guy who would rather see our country succeed and thus be wrong about everything he complains about?" The answer is obviously "no". So congratulations, Eddie. You are the most un-American person consuming breathable air in this country. If it's so unbearable to live here, fucking LEAVE. No one will miss you. And take all your loser socialist friends with you. -- Posted by: Greg Taylor on August 12, 2004 10:48 AM
