Here is your copy of The Soft Boys record. In order that You should derive maximum listening pleasure from the 'A' side of this disc, may I suggest a few simple precautions? As you know, a little time and attention beforehand can save so much mess afterwards.
I. Crank the treble on your record player to FULL.
2. Put a lump of modelling clay or plasticene over the pick-up head.
3. Quickly sprint to the end of the room & lie on the floor OR stand outside the room with your ear pressed against a cool wall OR stand downstairs with your mouth open.
After a while the mix improves and you can make your way back towards the gramophone. This above is the recommended procedure For anyone who wants to make out the words.
The 'B'-side is normal 'easy' music: suck a sherbet flapper and cast your mind adrift on the streams of yesteryear. Gleaming classics like 'Friday onToast', 'I don't see why you can't finish your orange', 'Who put the bomp in the seven dwarfs?' all come slithering into view. A must.
